  • Cosworth block being rebored (above)
  • Bore sizes range from 2" to 8" dia

  • Have your Lambretta cylinders resized and trued up to avoid seizures
  • Honing after the rebore (above)
  • All cylinders are Honed and then the further process of plateau honing (depending on the piston ring type) after re-boring
  • This operation is critical to ensure the correct bedding in of the piston rings to maximise engine life and give ultimate performance
  • When a cylinder becomes oval, out of round or excessively worn it is time for a rebore.
  • The process involves removing the piston(s) having the cylinder(s) checked for size, ovality and for being parallel with the use of an  internal micrometer.
  • If any of the above criteria is out of manufacturers specification, it is time to get your cylinders rebored and honed by a specialist engineers.
